Connecting teams to clubs
Background information: The system utilizes team and club IDs. When clubs are involved, only the club ID is inserted into the team's 'club' column, which is why teams can benefit from some of the data stored in the club's details (e.g., a logo/crest). If you cancel a team by just overwriting the team's name, the team still has the same club ID in their club ID column. To avoid this, it is required to add a new team instead of overwriting an existing one each time.
In TorneoPal, there are teams and clubs. Teams are connected to clubs so they can all use the same club logo/crest.
By default, we have the clubs feature turned off. If you would like us to turn this on, please let us know via email.
If you have a large number of teams, please contact info@torneopal.com and let us know that you would like to connect the teams to clubs. With a large number of teams, we have several tools to assist us, and connecting teams to clubs typically takes only a few minutes, even if there are 100+ teams.
If you have a small number of teams, connect your teams to an existing club by following these instructions:
- Left menu: Teams
- Start by going through each team and selecting it.
- Select Choose right next to club and search for the club name.
- Scroll down to hit Save.
Club logos must be added by TorneoPal staff. After teams log in they are asked to send the club logo to info(at)torneopal.com. Logos can also be sent to us directly from the organiser. The guideline for the format we use is:
- PNG image with transparent background
- Normally max 500px wide
- Square, where possible
