Adding a team after the schedule has been done

If you have got your tournament ready, but you want to accept a late entry from an extra team, this can be done easily in Torneopal. Follow these steps:

1. Left menu: Tournament -> Top menu: Categories
2. Click into the category you need to add the team in to.
3. Click the Teams tab, enter the name of the new team, and click save.
4. Now click on the Groups tab and choose the group you would like to add the team to (eg. Group A)
5. Click the Add teams button, then choose the number of teams you want to add to the group. You will also need to choose to add matches for the new team (while keeping the existing matches), or create all the fixtures again, which means the existing matches will be deleted.

You should choose to just add matches if you are happy with the schedule already and know you can squeeze in the extra games. If the schedule will dramatically change, i.e. from a 7 team group to an 8 team group, then maybe it's best to just create the fixtures again and then schedule them.
