Understanding Groups' Details

Each group has details that determine how teams are drawn to that specific group. Whether the details are editable, depends on the Group type.

In the example above, the type is set to 'Group stage,' which means that the details are uneditable.
In the example above, the type is set to 'Cup,' and this time the details are editable.

How to use/set details correctly:

  • If you'd like to draw a team based on their placement in a group:
    • Group Name/Placement in Roman Numerals
    • A/I = 1st in Group A
    • B/II = 2nd in Group B
  • If you'd like to draw a team based on the winner or loser of the match:
    • Winner or Loser/Match Number
    • V18 = Winner of Match Number 18
    • H18 = Loser of Match Number 18
  • If you'd like to draw the best-placed team:
    • Placement in the comparison group + teams that are being compared
    • 1b1 = 1st best team of all the 1st-placed teams
    • 2b1 = 2nd best team of all the 1st-placed teams
    • ....
    • 1b4 = 1st best team of all the 4th-placed teams
    • 2b4 = 2nd best team of all the 4th-placed teams

The screenshot below is from the result site. Sometimes, the fixtures might be easier to understand from the results site. Please note that this requires publishing the tournament.

A continuous line represents the winner's next match, whereas a dashed line represents the loser's next match.
