Manually picking the teams for the second stage
It's quite common in tournaments that some teams will finish on the same points, goal difference and head to head result, so the system won't know which team should progress to the next stage.
In this case the group table will separate the teams alphabetically, but it will not send either of the teams through to the next stage.
Normally tournaments settle this tie-break by penalty shootout or a toin coss. Once this has taken place and you know the team which will progress, follow these instructions to put them into the next stage:
- Left menu: Tournament
- Top menu: Categories
- Click the Groups tab
- Click into the Cup(s) that the teams should go into
- Scroll down to the section where it shows the various group winners, second place etc
- Choose the correct team from the dropdown menu. In the below example, the top two teams from Group B could not be separated so you need to choose them manually from the dropdown. Easy :)
